PMA is a recognised provider of Prince’s trust 2nd week residential throughout the country.

ArcheryAt PMA we're well aware of all the difficulties encountered by the team and their team leaders and take an active support role through this time to ensure a safe and comfortable experience is had by all. Our qualified and experienced staff offer both tuition and encouragement to the young people on the course and provide a necessary resource for the team leaders to take on the mantle of role model responsibility in times of stress.

This is an important time for the young people involved in the course, an opportunity to promote and develop their skills and learn new ones. Their chance to work in a team, within the framework of working together and supporting each other. To experience within a safe environment a range of outdoor activities that will both directly and indirectly encourage their self confidence and their understanding of their personal capabilities.

Empowerment within this process along with a positive approach to feedback ensures that the team benefits from each activity and gains tools to experiment within the next.

The majority of our residential courses are held in the heart of the Peak District. Panoramic views and ample locations for the various activities make Derbyshire and the Peak District the ideal central location for a Prince’s trust residential. The history and geographic importance of this location gives any team a great insight into the foundations of English working class societies and how, historically, events like the industrial revolution commenced. Walking in the Peak DistrictPMA can also provide alternative locations throughout the country.

Additional packages are also available as bolt-ons to the residential dependent on the needs of individual team members or the team as a whole. These include the accredited ASDAN short course awards and the John Muir award for conservation and awareness.
